Can-Am RV was founded more than thirty-five years ago on the technical expertise of Andy Thomson Sr. This tradition of technical excellence continues to this day. The Dura-Torque axle alignment press.

Wheel Alignments for trailers and fifth wheels: We have a variety of hydraulic bending equipment to straighten and align axles. We believe we are the only facility anywhere that can align Alko axles instead of replacing them. We are the only Ontario facility that aligns torsion Dura-Torque and Dexter Axles.

Custom Hitch Fabrication: Need a hitch on your BMW? We can do it. Volvo, Lexus, Mercedes, Jaguar and plain old Chevrolet can all be fitted with a neat and very strong hitch system. Our fabrication equipment is able to shape steel to the exact shape needed for your vehicle. Ordinary bolt-on hitches are usually a compromise of cost, ease of installation and shipping expense. Often they are not strong enough to properly transfer weight while maintaining the geometry of the ball mount. However, they can be strengthened. An added benefit to reducing flex in the receiver is that the surge or tugging sensation often associated with towing is reduced or eliminated.

Precise Hitch tuning: Your combination is married together on a level cement floor and adjusted for exact weight transfer. Our ball mounts are angled for precise geometry to keep overhang to the minimum and handling stability to the maximum. Brake Controls: Our controls apply the trailer brakes in proportion to the movement of the brake pedal instead of external factors. Can-Am uses only the best brake controls for smooth braking and short controlled emergency stops.

Interior renovations: Cabinet work, Upholstery, Ceramic Tile, Hardwood floors, Laminate Flooring, countertops, appliances etc.

Chassis: Tire installations and balancing, Brake drum resurfacing.

Body Work:  Exterior paint from touch ups to full body base coat / clear coat paint. Full Airstream body shop that can replace one segment to side sheets to entire front or rear ends if need be. 

Electrical: We have installed hundreds of solar panel and inverter systems since 1985. Our unique simple system allows the battery to charge from minimal power sources while operating high load appliances from the inverter. We also do custom generator installations.

Miscellaneous: Can Am has a Seal Tech machine that is designed to find rain leaks in all RVs. When customers told us they wanted to carry bikes on the back of the trailer we developed a carrier system that was substantially lighter than the conventional receiver based systems, maintaining the balance and structural integrity of the trailer. We also do wheelchair modifications, office conversions and custom work.

Storage: Drop your unit off in the fall and we can pull it out, put the heat on and have it ready for you to head on south with. Drop it off on the way home and we can winterize and wash it, and store it until spring.
